99 Plymouth Neon Expresso won't start. Was running fine, started every time. Went to wal-mart and wouldn't start back up. Changed the spark plugs and hoses. Got the car to start up fine, get home and in the morning it won't start again. Check battery, battery is good. Any suggestions?

Both your air con and defogger (I am assuming you mean front windshield defroster setting, and not the back window) engage the air conditioner pump/compressor.

The screeching can be either a bad belt or a bad compressor.

How long has it been since the belt was changed? If it is old, and slipping, it will cause the screech at speed.
If the belt has recently been changed, and is adjusted properly, I would start looking that the air compressor pump.

SOURCE: 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager Expresso model 3.3litre spark plugs

Only use Champion spark plugs on a Chrysler product.
Your local auto parts supplier should have info to give you proper plug number. There should also be a sticker maybe on your hood, that has correct number as well.It appears to be RN14PMP5 if you chose the double platinum plugs, or RN14MC5 in the standard copper core. The double platinum are about twice the price but last much longer. Gap is .050". Don't let them talk you into a different brand, Champion only. I have seen too many Chrysler vehicles over the years run bad on other plugs.

My 2005 dodge neon sxt wont start, no spark, changed cam shaft sensor, coil is good, cant find the crankshaft sensor, also wondered if it could be the timing belt, what do you think?

the crank sensor is on the back side of the engine just above the oil pan there will be two sensors there one is the crank sensor and the other is oil presser sensor. All so check the wires from the crank sensor to the cam sensor. If you think it is the timing belt pull the cover and check it. hope this helps.

The car turns over like it is going to start but won't. It is still firing, has good battery, alternator and gas in it. It is a 1996 plymouth neon. Started fine when I went to work this morning, b

tell individual working on it to check the crankshaft sensor voltage and signal when it wont start also check the fuel pressure and cam sensor, these are all possible problem with that particular car. it also has wiring issues that an expert tech would have to diagnose

99 Ford Escort ZX2 2.0L Car will start but won't stay running unless you keep giving it gas

I had the same problem. My car sat for a few days and when i went to start it i heard an extremely loud pop (kind of like a backfire). After that it would start and sound fine, but die 2 seconds later. Thank god my bf is a mechanic he knew instantly that the pcv valve hose that connects to the intake manifold unplugged itself. He plugged it back in and it runs fine now. I didnt however get a check engine light, but i only tried to start it twice before he fixed it because i was scared it jumped time.

1994 ok I would start be checking the fuel pressure, if the fressure is fine then I would check to see if the timing is right.

We replaced the Water pump and Timing belt on a 1999 Plymouth Neon 2.0 Single Overhead Cam Engine. Engine Cranks, Is getting Fuel...but no spark. We changed the Coil Pack. It still cranks, but no...

If its not getting spark the choices are limited. You already replaced the coil pack so whats left is ignition module, crank sensor, knock sensor, cam sensor, or the timing was not was not set properly when putting it back together. Any one of those would create a no spark situation.

Why would my 1998 neon expresso buck at speeds of 55 mph or higher also sometimes while it bucks it loses power like no gas is getting to it and then all of a sudden its back for a couple minutes, than it...

Any difference after filter being changed? I'd save money and leave coil, but would do wires and plugs. Make sure you buy Champion spark plugs as noted in manual, or on sticker on underside of hood, or on rad support area. Champions work better in Chrysler/Dodge products.
