I've not heard of a code that tells you the injector is stuck open, but I agree with your opinion that if the valve is stuck you should be able to pull that cyl head and have it fixed. My concern would be how it happened and could it happen to the other valves.
Thank you Crip. I had the same problem with my 2007 Jeep Compass. Pulled the rubber hose back between the door and main body to find a broken wire! All sorted now, windows working fine.
You can unbolt the belt at the bottom under the seat. Its kinda hard to get to. Its connected to the left side belt release. Once unbolted you can replace the part. Or if you want you can atleast get it to release by letting it go all the way to the top. The only problem with that is the problem will come back.
