Running lights on a 1998 chevrolet silverado1500

Two part question.

First part. It depends what the relay was for. It may be something you are not using? See the relay diagram.

Second part. Could be many things. Check for codes. Clean throttle body and MAF. Check plugs for gap and condition.

The 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has 2 different fuse boxes: Instrument Panel Fuse Block diagram. Underhood Fuse/Relay Center diagram.

You didn't say whether it is automatic or manual! If manual: check the linkages to the transmission, check that the clutch is working...
If automatic: Check that the transmission fluid is clean and at the correct level, check the linkages from the shift lever, check that the pressures are OK in the transmission, check that the torque converter is not ceased up...

Check the emergency brake pedal and make sure it is not on a bit. When the emergency brake are applied the daytime running light go out.

2002 to 2006 Chevrolet Silverado

Insert your key into the ignition, and turn it to position "A" (Run/On) without cranking the engine.

Depress the gas pedal three times within five seconds. The "Change Oil" message will begin to flash.

Turn the ignition to position "A" (Lock/Off) once the light stops flashing (about 10 seconds).

You have a bad ground. Ground is in the back wiring harness and goes to frame rail.

just hold the adjusting button in and pull up. it will come out

first, do you hear fuel pump running, if not it's time to replace it

codes p0420 and p0430 are both post o2 sensors, the ones after the convertor, both sides if replacing
