Car was in deep water and will not start all it does is make a clicking sound

Well sorry to say this car is probably junk the computer gets wet and thats it,if there is no fuel inj pulse or spark eca needs replacing plus if relays got wet for eca called eec relay or fuel pump relay they need r/r too.Main problem is eca and its plug in water corrodes connectors to eca and it will never be right until rewired and replaced.Not to mention cam and crank sensors.

Drove thru deep water 2000 Mer 230 slk it stalled drained oil took out spark plugs coils let dry put everything in sputtered when started then started and died Now it just click when start k40 good

95 4.6 LTR. V-8 was driven through deep standing

Loud knocking is usually a "bad sign". If water got into the engine, and you tried to start it, you could have bent or broken rods. That's a major engine repair.

Deep water in road stalled out my 95 4.6 liter V-8, and when I started car back up it is making a severe knocking sound from engine, because it makes same noise when in park , neutral or drive.

Knocking sound is serious! Best get checked out at garage!

I have a 2010 dodge charger, what I thought was not so deep water but my car stalled and now it will not start. Only makes a clicking sound when I turn the key. Please help

more than likely you'll have to dry out the moisture in your distributor cap, you can spray WD40 in cap and that should work for you

I drove my kia optima in a deep puddle and now it won't start it makes one clicking sound and nothing happens the starter is good but water did get into the intake and water did get past the butter fly...

Did you crank the engine with the spark plugs out in order to discharge any water that may be trapped in the combustion chambers? Water cannot be compressed. Hope you didn't hydrolock it.

Went thru a flooded road about 8"deep stalled out

You filled the cylinders with water. You will need to remove all the spark plugs and crank the engine with them out, to push out the water. you will also want to replace the air filter as it is probably saturated with water.

it sounds like u have sucked up water into the engine, u will need to take the spark plugs out the try to turn it over,it should pump out the water.

Changing the spark plugs on a 2002 Chevy cavalier Z24 2.4L engine. Where are they located? or is there a free wiring diagram that can show me?

just remover your plastic cover on top of the engine and they should be right in your face it will only have four make sure you do one at a time so youe dont mix up where the wires go

Went through not too deep water car stalled , replaced air filter and checked batterie car clicks and lights dim when you try to start.

Well if its clicking that means your starter isnt working. You can try replacing the starter. Its also possible that your starter isnt' getting enough juice, or your ground is bad. Go from there. Also if it went through enough water for it to go in air filter, it would be wise to change the oil as well to make sure no water is in your oil.
