The fuses for the trailer tow adapter are in the normal fuse panels.

Engine Compartment fuse panel
101 - Is the battery charge circuit ( hot in run position )
20 - Left Stop / Turn fuse
19 - Right Stop / Turn
5 - Trailer tow reversing lamps & Trailer Tow parking lamps

Cab Fuse Panel
23 - fuse for the relay for the trailer tow battery charge circuit

All of these are in the owners manual

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

There is a fuse box under the hood that has the fuses that control the wire harness. There are at least 2 boxes, mine were on the drivers side wheel well near the rear of the engine compartment.

2003 Chevy HD trailer wiring problem

I have the exact same issue. I have also tested my trailer on other vehicles and it works fine. I even purchased a light up tester and found the problem at the harness. It seems like a bad ground to me but I can't seem to find one.

The trailer lights have a common brake/turn wire while the truck has seperate turn and brake lights. I think the problem lies with the device that marries the two for the trailer wiring but I don't know where to find it?

Running lights on trailer blowing fuses in my truck

if it only happens when the trailer is plugged in you have a short in the trailer. wiring or the bulbs have corrosion or water in the connetor. Same thing if the trailer is unplugged. Check the truck lights

Rear lights wont go on but brake lights work

Fuse box is a good place to start, and check under hood for power distribution box with more fuses.

Trailer lights

7 way connector, running lights, including license plate light, should be a brown wire. Check the back of the plug receiver on the truck, u are going to have to follow it to see if it's mashed, cut, not connected properly to connector, or loose, corroded, or dirty connections at any splice. That should be the problem. Let me know what u find.

No running lights on boat trailer towed by 2008 ford f150

You can purcahse a tester which will connect into the F-150's wiring harnes. If the led lights up, the problem is witht he trailer's wiring harness. this tester will indicate the proper operation of the brake light and turn signals.

check all trailer tow fuses in panel under hood.there is a fuse for trailer brake lights and a fuse for trailer signals.but if one signal is working it is probaly broken or corroded wires at the back of the trailer plug or corroded wires inside plug.
