Put my foot on the clutch pedal and it went to the floor.Got out and checked underneath and fluid leaking from what I think is the slave cylinder.

CHECK THE CLUTCH FLUID IF IT IS ON A MAXIMUM OR MINIMUM LEVEL.IF NO FLUID CHECK WHETHER THE LEAK IS FROM MASTER OR SLAVE CLUTCH CYLINDER.

if it,s hydrolic look to put in fluid.

you need to inspect the clutch hydraulic system to look for a leak.check in the truck were the master cylinder bolts to the firewall as if the master is leaking out the back it will show up the leak in this area.check around the master under the hood to see if there are signs of it leaking.check at the transmission were the slave cylinder is as this is another place they leak.if you have to fill the master because its empty there is a leak somewhere.you also may need the clutch replaced as the slave cylinder moves out to adjust for wear of the clutch which will lower the fluid level but not cause it to be empty.you will have to bleed the clutch system at the slave cylinder,there should be a bleeder screw to do this.if you find the leak in the clutch system you will have to replace the system as some come complete master lines and slave.some come with just the slave,lines,master as separate components.

may have a large leak in the slave cylinder. do you see fluid dripping underneath te transmission housing? it could have an internal leak but not as common. check the fluid level in the little reservour on the firewall.

It's usually the clutch master or slave cylinder that is bad when the pedal drops to the floor suddenly. Check both to see which one is leaking fluid and that's your bad one.

Either the master clutch cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder is gone.Check the level of the clutch fluid.Try filing it up with hydraulic fluid and pumping the pedal it to see where the leak is from.

did you check the fluid in the clutch slave? it may be leaking. if it is full either the clutch slave cylinder has went bad or the clutch master cylinder. the slave cylinder is located in the transmission the clutch master cylinder in connected to the clutch pedal and mounts to the fire wall. hope this helps

on the transmission there is a slave cylinder that works like a brake cylinder, when you apply pressure to the clutch pedal a rod inside the vehicle under the dash pushes into a clutch master cylinder, (almost like a brake master cylinder without the reservoir, as the clutch master cylinder works off the brake master cylinders reservoir) the plunger in the clutch master cylinder applies fluid pressure to the slave cylinder,(located down on the trans near the clutch fork assembly) which projects a piston rod into the clutch fork dis-engaging the clutch. To bleed the clutch slave cylinder locate the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder,break loose so it loosens and tightens easily. Check fluid in brake master cylinder reservoir,fill if needed, while bleeder on the slave cyl is closed have a helper push clutch pedal to floor and back 7-8 times, (At first the clutch might stay at the floor, just pull it up by hand or foot and continue) after several pumps with no rest time push pedal to the floor and hold down with foot pressure, at this time loosen the bleeder on slave untill fluid leaks out, watch for air bubbles, close bleeder and repeat untill there is no sign of air bubbles, (make sure to check fluid in the brake master cylinder and keep fill as needed, do not let fluid get less than 1/2 empty as it might **** air and you will have to start over) If this does not bring clutch to operate then you need to check if slave cylinder is reachig its full extension of push rod or not. If it is not then you will have to replace the clutch master cyl or the clutch slave cyl or both as seals are bad and wont hold pressure. Or you need to inspect the clutch fork,the throw-out bearing, or the pressure plate fingers and clutch plate for failure or broken bent parts. I hope it turns out to be a easy fix on that clutching thing.

your clutch uses a hydraulic master and slave cylinder to disengage. It is likely that the slave has been leaking and the reservoir gone dry, thus allowing air into the system and reducing effectiveness. Check the clutch master cylinder reservoir (near the brake reservoir) fluid level. If low, also check the slave cylinder at the clutch for leakage. If leaking, replace the slave and bleed the system. Need to have it check could be clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder or hose from clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder.check brake fluid at clutch master cylinder sit next to brake master cylinder if empty could have a leak. fill and pump peddle and look for leak.
