Is what the liquid plain water or coolant (water mixed with antifreeze). touch and smell the liquid, no smell = water, antifreeze smell and oily feel = coolant.
If plain water, could be Air Condition condensation dripping from condensation drain which is normal. (this drain is usually located near the center of the vehicle).
If coolant, could be leak(s) from: radiator, radiator hose, heater hose, water pump, engine freeze plug. A coolant system pressure test should show what is leaking.

Over heating and water dripping out underneath front by radiator, but not the radiator.

Could be a hose or the water pump, but Dodge Intrepids are Famous for blowing the head gaskets. I'll bet that's what's going on with yours also.

If water is getting under the carpet its probably the tank or a fitting on the tank.
I don't know of a way to find out unless you remove the tank to see under it.

Water leaking underneath the motor

A little leakage is normal. Also the A/C will drip water, but that comes down from the firewall area.

From the motor, it may indicate a leaky water pump. This will drip from the front of the engine which is the right side as the driver looks. The pump is located under the timing belt cover.

Also check all your large hoses to see if a leak has developed at any joint.

The V6 engine often develops a water leak under the intake manifold which is hard to see. The water appears on top of the transmission. Camrys will often also get a split in the plastic radiator top tank, so look there.

If you are not losing large amounts of water, you have a while to track it down at leisure !

1)changed the thermostat? 2) thought it was heating core, they by passed that? 3) Husband thinks it could be the frost plug? Water keeps leaking out and overheating, the water leaks from the middle of...

Find your water pump and put your finger right under the bottom of it and rub it, see if you get water from there on your fingers. If so change your water pump. If that is not the problem, go underneath to where the drip is and follow the stream up to the starting point of the water leak, The bottom of the motor is only the lowest point for the water to drip off.

What is the cause of lots of coolant leaking underneath front of truck?

Does it leak while running or whlie stopped/off? If it leaks while it's running the water pump has most likely gone bad.... in the absence of an obvious leak in the radiator itself.

Water dripping from underneath

That hose is the drain hose for the a/c. When condensation forms from running the a/c it drains out through the black hose you are refering too.If it doesn't drain out it will eventually overflow inside the car and get your carpet wet.
