Yes it can be a bad coil or improperly installed coil they do have a plus and minus for the coil

ignition coils come in different modes of power make sure by dealer the right mode of coil was used and installed

the computer after a replacement like this make sure that the tech reset the computer so that it can read properly if the comp was not reset you might get the same error again

The malfunction indicator light came on about a month ago in my Suzuki Alto (2005) and I took it to the garage and was told there was a misfire in cylinder 2. I was told it was fine so they reset the light...

If the code has been a misfire in the same cylinder every time, the problem is very likely the ignition coil for that cylinder. When the ignition coil first starts to go, the malfunctions will be sporadic and therefore difficult to troubleshoot. The ignition coil can be tested for resistance on both primary and secondary windings in the coil to prove it is failing.

I have a 2004 VW Passat the engine light came on had it diagnosed the code is P0322 what does it mean and how is it fixed? Thanks

Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/Loss of Power
- The engine may be harder to start
- The engine may stumble or stallPossible causes- Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor harness circuit is open or shorted
- Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor poor electrical connection
- Faulty Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor
- Faulty Crankshaft Position sensor
- Low battery charge
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)When is the code detected? The P0322 code is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects no signal.P0322 VOLKSWAGEN DescriptionIgnition failure sensor is used to check whether the spark ignition is occurred correctly or not and also used to tachometer drive. The sensor monitors the voltage difference between a resistance which is on the battery circuit for ignition coil. When the ignition coil works properly, the electric current through the resistance is detected as voltage drop. This is confirmed for every ignition event with the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor. If ECM detects a malfunction, no ignition is possible, so the engine would not start. If there is no ignition signal for a predetermined cycle for one or two ignition coils, an ignition coil circuit failure exists.

Wont run smooth &misfires has code po 352 ignition coil #2 primary circut

First you should have a Haynes Manual for your specific car that's available at most parts stores. Since it states that your "Ignition Coil B primary or secondary circuit malfunction", then I would first measure the Coils Resistance which is listed in your Haynes Manual. If it comes up incorrectly for the values given, then replace the coil, if not, check the Z2 Circuit which is the Ground to your PCM or computer. It should be a 12 gauge wire, black & tan that's bolted to the Engine block for a corroded condition. This corrosion will throw multiple codes except for the PCM's Ground. In the Haynes Manual there is a wiring diagram of your PCM in the back that, if I'm wrong about the color of the wire, will give you the proper color.

On-Board Programming Method "B" for Ford keys (1996 -early 1998 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury)
If you want to initiate a new master key.... 1. Insert new key into ignition cylinder and turn it to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will flash for fifteen minutes.
2. When the security light stops flashing, you have FIVE minutes to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder OFF and then back to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will flash for fifteen more minutes.
3. When the security light stops flashing, you have FIVE minutes to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back ON (RUN) position. The dash will flash for fifteen more minutes.
4. After the security light stops flashing the third time, the new key has been programmed into the vehicles computer and will operate the car. It has replaced ALL the previous electronic key codes and is the ONLY key programmed into the vehicles computer.
If you want to add a key.... 1. Insert an existing key into the ignition cylinder.
2. Turn the ignition cylinder to ON (RUN) and back to OFF.
3. Remove the existing key and, within 15 seconds, insert the new key and turn it to ON (RUN).
4. The security light will light up for two seconds to indicate success in programming the key into the vehicle.
5. Don't attempt to start the vehicle with any key for at least 1 minute.
On-Board Programming Method "C" for Ford keys (Later 1998-newer Ford, Lincoln, Mercury)
If you want to initiate a new master key.... 1. This requires that the vehicle be connected to special dealer equipment. There are two ten minute delays involved while this device erases all existing key programming and sets up the vehicle computer to accept new key codes. Two new keys should be ready because the system requires a minimum of two keys in the program. After the first two keys are programmed, additional keys can be entered individually by following the instructions for adding duplicate keys (below).
If you want to add a key.... **You must have two original keys to perform this procedure. If you only have one key, you WILL have to take it to the dealer to get it programmed**
1. Insert and existing (working) key into the ignition cylinder.
2. Turn the ignition cylinder ON (RUN) and back to OFF. Ignition should stay on for at least ONE SECOND.
3. Remove the existing key and, within TEN seconds, insert a second working key and turn it to ON (RUN) and the back OFF. Ignition must be in ON for at least ONE second, but no more than TEN seconds. Remove the key.
4. Insert the new key before TWENTY seconds have elapsed and turn it to ON (RUN). Leave it the ON position for at least ONE second and turn back to OFF.
5. The security light will light up for THREE seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.
6. To program additional keys, repeat steps 1 through 5
As a precautionary measure for all of the above procedures, you should wait at least one minute after you have performed this until you start your vehicle.
