Getting E-1 error message for radio

I recently got an e-1 error message when i try to use my cd player...when i look it up in the manual it says to contact dealership...do you know if this is going to be something costly to fix...is there a particular issue that will bring up the e-1 error message?

Thanks..

Well I had a 1990 Xj6 with an aftermarket cd-changer in the trunk and it didn't work, so when I took it to an audio specialist he said that it needed to be replaced. But what he did say is that most manufactures use the same connection cables for their products, ex. Sony plugs will work on all Sony cd-changers. I now have a 1994 Jaguar XJ6 and I have the same error code. I know that Jaguar installed Alpine CHM-S620 cd-changers. So in theroy you could go to an audio store and get the same cd-changer and it should have the same plugs so you wont need to rewire anything. I havent done it yet because I just bought the 1994.

Recently the CD player stopped working with a cd inside it says error 1/error 2 after it trys to load it also won't eject the cd at the same time this started the usb also stopped charging my devices

Try to put another cd in on top of the stuck one . don't force it , just push in a little ways then pull it out . Sometimes that will make player eject the stuck one. I would take it back to whoever installed the radio.

HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CD PLAYER 2007 HYUNDA MESSAGE APPEARS ERROR ????

Owner's manual troubleshooting.

Have you done anything with the battery? Did the cd go in or was it rejected? If so the message could be the security code for Radio/ cd if you do not know the code, please ask your dealer what it is. They would probably like you to visit them.

Cd player error

so is this a stock RAD/cd?
stock JBL 6 disk player in dash>? or? what? name and model #
mp3 and wma format. but not DVD
or
JBL premium 4-disc in-dash CD changer
io the single disc player, 3 kinds sold. new.

and now comes the big question.
TELLS where you got the disk, or name it, or tell how it was made if home made. we dont know that.

is said CD a CDDA? or not. (always try CDDA first)
is CD a real music disc. from a real store, CDDA, is that.
or CDR, or DVDr, or CDRW, or other record-able media
is music MP3? files.
see, the old units dont play modern media.

try 2 real discs, not scratched.
do they play?
one other way, is to name the radio, brand, like JBL then get the
p/n off it. (hard) then look up the product data sheet on it,
bingo, what it can and can not do is there.

but this does it all, mostly
does what yours will not do.

I get a CD Error 1 message when I put in a CD to play. They message doesn't appear everytime. Sometimes it plays parts of the CD, but when it does this it skips alot. What does the CD Error 1 message...

The cleaning kit is a fix if you have 'dust' on the lens, but will not fix the root problem you are experiencing. It is a mechanical wear problem of the cd-rom player. If you can replace the cd-mechanism, that will solve your problem. But, most people are sticker shocked by the price of an oem cd-player.

There are quite a few aftermarket DVD players now available, and aftermarket CD-players which have new warranties and have features and power that surpass the original decks.

If you want to stick to your original design, though, you can try a salvage yard to see if they have one that works better. But, one is taking a monetary chance by buying a used radio that might do the same thing as your own.

Is there a CD inside the CD player? You could try pulling the fuse for the radio (look at the fuse box panel for the exact fuse) and leave it out for 10 secs, then turn the car to the on position and leave for 20-30 secs.. turn the car off and put the fuse back in and then turn the car on and if you;re lucky, the radio will reset... This works for Volkswagens and since Audi is the same company, it should work
