The dome light is controlled by a module .
Multi-Function Alarm Module
The multi-function alarm module uses an inadvertent power control in order to supply power to the following lamps:
• The courtesy lamps
• The header lamps
• The reading lamps
• The instrument panel compartment lamps
• The luggage compartment lamps

Spray inside the center door latch with WD40 or silicone lubricant. You might have to remove or partially remove the plastic shield cover the opening. It's the part the door latches too, spray all around inside there and that should allow the switch to release. The switch either dries out or gets dirty and sticks, the spay will loosen and clean it.

Look closely at the cover. You will see a small slot. Insert a small flat blade screwdriver, and pry it off. Very easy..

if the roof is stucked up pull at the rubber lining around the inside of the sunroof (the one that seems like its just for looks) near the control button. then pull down on the inner roof cover and you'll see the back of the control button. there is an electrical connection there. see if it has come apart,.
also check out if the motor of the roof control is spinning.if it is not spinning then replace the motor to make it work.

some times the door switch can be faulty. and it may be coincidence that the interior switch is faulty too. i have owned alot of S- series trucks and a few of them have done this to me. you need to individually check each door for switch contact

Sounds like the dome light has been turned on using the switch on the dash. Most of the time the dash dimmer switch is set up so that if the dimmer is in the maximum position, the dome light can be turned on. If the dome light has been turned on like this, it still will turn off after some time to save your battery. Then when you unlock the door with the remote, it goes back to the same state it was when it was left in - "ON". Check for this switch on the dash, and roll it to get it off of the "ON" position.
