PLESE DONT EVEN TRY.it aint that simple,the computer tells the engine that you have the right key but as you dont have remote locking anymore it thinks your trying to STEAL it.you NEED to replace the remote fob.(you call it keyless entry)think of it this way if it were that simple why fit an alarm system in the first place....(someone asked if you could take out a fuse to stop the alarm !!!!!.)
I'm just wondering what color wire goes from the dashboard to the car alarm. Not if it's simple to do. Yes, I can obvious shell out $180 and get a new key FOB but I'd rather spend practically nothing and ground the wire. If it doesn't work, I can always un-ground the wire and I'm back to square one
if you dont blow out the main computer.........but its your car. if you must try something,try disconnecting the sounder.....(silent alarm.....)but be prepared for the cost of replacing the main ecu.(electronic control unit)

Solution to alarm sounding: I have the same issue, my remote fob works intermittently, most of the time it doesn't unlock, but usually can lock the doors. If I open the door manually, the alarm sounds. I figure out a way to prevent the alarm from sounding. Before you get out of the car, make sure all doors are shut, and lock the doors using the lock/unlock on the driver door, then open the driver door to get out, shut it and lock it with the key manually. The alarm will not sound when you unlock it with the key manually. This only works if you follow it exact, no other doors can be open and you must lock it with the door shut and open it after you lock from inside.
That's the only way I've found to get around the alarm sounding. I believe I have a bad connection in my remote fob, is there anyway for me to fix it myself? I have a second remote rob and I have the same problem, which is strange.

If it is a factory alarm you can't unhook it. Replace the switch attached to the lock cylinder inside the door. In the meantime, the switch on the passenger door may still be good. Cycle the key in the passenger door to see if it turns off the alarm.

Quick Steps:
A. Purchase a blank key and have it cut
B. Insert original key #1 into ignition and turn to On
C. Wait 5 seconds and turn key to off
D. Immediately insert original key # 2 into ignition and turn to on
E. Wait 10 seconds for SKIS indicator in dash starts to flash
F. Turn ignition off, insert new blank key and turn ignition back on
G. Once SKIS light stops flashing and turns off, your new key is programmed

False activation of the factory security system is caused in most cases by a defective door switch or a battery that has dropped below about 10 volts, so your choices for why the system activated are this, one of the door lock switches is defective and the system sensed a break in (key not being turned in lock) or the battery ran down and set the alarm off (have the load battery tested by a Kragen or Autozone, it is free) or the security system has some other malfunction, in the case of the battery being the cause the alarm should have shut down after 5 minutes or so. Here is what you should do have the battery tested as I suggested, replace or fully recharge it, I suspect the battery will be found to be defective, then to reset the the system use the door key and lock and then unlock the passenger door, if this doesn't reset the system the dealer will need to scan the system to see where the malfunction is, the defective part will set a fault code.
Unlock all of the Jeep
Grand Cherokee's doors and open the driver's side door. Keeping the door open, lock it using the manual lock on the door itself.
Put the manual key into the ignition and switch it to the "On" or "Run" position, whichever applicable, without starting the engine.

Point the remote at the receiver (located by the little bulb on the car ceiling) and hold down the "Lock" button for up to 5 seconds.
When the driver's side door unlocks, you know the remote has been programmed correctly. If you are only programming one remote, jump to the next step. If not, manually re-lock the driver's side door and repeat steps 5 and 6 using each remote you would like to program and then continue.
Turn the key to the "Off" position and turn the ignition on immediately. This must be done within 20 seconds of programming the last remote. You're finished!
