I have a 2005 buick lacrosse. The low beam headlights have stopped working again(2nd time) The first time, even though the warning light was on, nothing was found wrong in the system. The headlights just came back on. This time, I have been told it may be a relay. What is your opinion?

Click on the link. What testing have you done. Did you check for voltage and ground at the lo beams? Use a test light. In the diagram, the top wire for low beams is voltage, the bottom wire is ground. There are lo beam fuses, check those. Check voltage at fuse with lo beams turned on. It might be possible to unplug the low beam relay and use proper jumper wire on proper terminals to see if lo beams will operate. If they operate with the jumper but not w/o, check the control side of relay.
Your head lamp switch and dimmer are both inputs to bcm. I can only help with testing. You have to do the testing.

SOURCE: how do i change the low-beam bulb on my 2005 buick

there should be 2 brackets at the rear of bulb housing, 1 may have a small bolt.....lift these up and the headlamp housing should come out. you will see how it works when you get it apart.

SOURCE: 2006 buick lacrosse how to replace headlight low

The bright light fitting is the same as the dim so take it apart fist to see how the cover screws off/on and the light comes out. Both the cover and the bulb are removed by a standard twist to the counterclockwise and replaced by a twist to the clockwise. Now to the dim light. You have to release the entire light assembly before you can remove the screw-on cover to reach the light. On the rear edge of the light unit closest to the engine is a white locking tab. Pull that tab up just to the point where it releases…pull too far and it locks again. Next, locate the other locking bracket which is a metal bracket in the center-rear of the light assembly. This bracket is held down by a screw. Remove the screw with a 10mm wrench. Lift the bracket just like you did the white bracket. You should now be able to pull (or pry) the entire light unit forward a little. Depending on the size of your hands this might be enough. If not, then you need to release the plastic bumper assembly to give you a little more space. This is done by removing two expansion locking pins, one that holds the little plastic strip down between the bright and dim lights and one that is located inside a rubber bumper on the engine side of the light unit. To remove these locking pins, pull or pry up the little tab in the center of the pin just like you were pulling a nail by the head. That should give you a little more space.

SOURCE: 2007 Buick Lacrosse low beam headlights both went

The relay under the hood may have gone out. We had the same problem on our 2007 Buick LaCrosse CX. The bulbs were fine, high beams worked, all turn signals and everything except the low beams turned on. Turns out the relay had gone bad.

One high beam not working 2006 Buick lacrosse

Sampson, sounds like a bunt out bulb, which will need changed.
If you feel comfortable doing it yourself. Basically three screws, and you have to pull one plastic fastener from the fascia (bumper) and pull the bumper back a bit, and pull the assembly out. I believe it is in the manual, not bad to do. I will post a link to tell or show you how to do it. Press the helpful button

Low beams gone on 2005buick lacross

look at the bulbs first.
there is the possibility that the headlamp switch is defective. Take the connector off and replace slowly to see if the connection is ok.
Put a jumper wire from battery to low beams. if this turns on the lights the switch is bad.
Then try the dimmer switch on steering column. Work back and forth a few times and watch for the lights to come on hard or flicker.
if the flicker replace switch assembly. again if nothing jumper the battery wire to low beams. If this turns the lights on replace switch.
Last the running lights module. jumper the wires again. replace if necessary.
