You will get conficting views on this but Toyota worldwide use fully synthetic from new out of the factory.BUT in Europe use semi synthetic for 20k service intervals...personally I would use fully synthetic untill 75k then semi after.and change the oil/filter every 10k.my own car has over 300k and uses a pint every 10k,which is acceptable.

I have a 2007 Lexus is 350 what is the best engine oil to use for this car

20w-40 grade ( thinner oils would not be suitable because of the wear factor of the components)
brands are immaterial
if you change oil on a regular basis (5,000 miles) mineral oil is the most economical
synthetic oils still need changing as the additives used to neutralize acids , hold water in suspension and prevent wear are all consumed and do not last for ever

Hi, I have a 2007 Lexus GS350 and after replacing the Xeon bulb the "Check Headlight" warning is still on, any idea how to reset? Thanks, Jeff

HI,
Looking online I'm not finding anything obvious.

Is it a 'Lexus' bulb? A specific bulb may be required to properly 'connect' w/the car's computer system.

Check your Owner's Manual and/or call the Dealer for more info.

Need to replace my Michelin tires, what kind should I get for my 2007 Lexus GS350

The Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires have great handling characteristics, quieter than the Michelin and more durable tread. Will easily get 2x the tread life over the Michelin.

I have a 2006 GS 300 lexus that I can't get oil in it, it is not leaking where is it going? It has 130 K miles, Lexus says it need a engine. I bought it brand new and Lexus did all the services. Lexus...

There are no known issues with any LEXUS manufactured after '02 that would cause this issue by default. If you are burning oil, and its not leaking out, then one of two things is happening. 1. Its getting into your coolant system. (in this case, check your coolant system for a oil layer. TO FIX THIS you mill have to replace the block / i.e. get a new engine if you want it to last.) 2. Its getting into your valve chamber and burning with the fuel. (in this case, a gap has formed within the valve system letting in oil and can be identified by white smoke from the exhaust. TO FIX THIS you must replace head gasket and rings)

2008 GS 460

Just bought the GS460 after driving BMW5 and InfinitiM35sport. We tested the GS350 and found it didn't have the acceleration of the BMW, but liked the ride of the GS. When we drove the GS460 we loved the control and in sport suspension it reminded us of the BMW5. It really came down to the whole controls, navigation, and luxury feel of the Lexus. I really didn't like idrive and hated the turn signals on the BMW. The Infiniti was loud, rough, and had a mediocre sound system compared to BMW or Lexus, although we liked the M's navigation and acceleration. We just decided for $60,000 the Lexus was a more reliable car.
