The brake lights on my 2005 Silverado Z71 do not work while the tail lights and turn signals all work. Have repalced the bulbs and still do not work. Put in known working bulbs that do not work in this socket but work before and after trying in the brake lights. I would appreicate your assistance.

Replace multi-function switch 2005 mariner

The tail light is usually a bulb with lower wattage, so it won't glow as brightly as the brake and turn lights.. There should be one or two other bulbs in either of the two tail assy's. The turn signal can use the same bulb as the brake light. If so, it's up to the flasher assy to direct the lights to both come on, and/or for one to flash if the brake and turn signal is on, e.g.. There could also be a backup light.

So if the brake and turn lights don't operate, look to the fuses, and flasher assy. for possible replacement.

Turning signals and brake tail lights not work

If the center brake light works but not the others, and the bulbs are good, the problem is usually the turn signal switch.

2005 mustang right turn signal wont work but bulb lights when lights are on. When signal is on only the first bulb blinks (and twice as fast as left signal) and second signal bulb doesn't work at all.

Replace the bulb(s). Tail light bulbs have more than one filament. One is for the brakes and one is for the turn signals. The reverse light is a light all by itself. When the filament for the turn signal goes out the brakes will still all light up, but the turn signal will not.
