Jan 24, 2011 - Hey guys, I'm working on a 97 3500 that's had the bed removed and replaced with a flatbed. There is the biggest mess under that truck wiring wise and. ... 2007 Ram 3500 A/C compressor wont engage, need wiring diagram ...
Hi Check the relays, You have one for the right side lights and one for the left side. I had to replace one that had broke on the inside,
Hope this helps some one.
We just had the same problem with our 99 2500 Turbo Diesel Ram. The problem ended up being the factory trailer cord recepticle near the hitch. When we unplugged the harness from the back side of the recepticle we found that the brake terminals had gotten hot and burned out. We replaced the recepticle (about $30 from Dodge) and our problem was solved.
If you are looking for the fuse box diagrams or any other diagrams for your Ram, check promanuals.net for a factory service manual for around 20 bucks or so. It's an invaluable tool for my Ram 2500.
Sounds like a short in your wiring. Have you checked the bulbs and you could have bought a bad brake light switch. Try having somone step on the brake lights and use a test light to see if your getting current back there
