I have a Mazda Tribute 2001, and when the car is cold and i start the engine, the car started to shake, sometimes it turns off. It had a tune up, oil change, new injectors, and 2 sensors replaced. The shaking is still there dont know what else could be wrong

personally i would advise staying with the manufacturers recomende oil, maybe go with a fully synthetic version

Make sure when you changed the plugs thsat you did not cross any of the plug wires. if you put any wires in the wrong place you could do serious damage to the engine!

try tune up

I have a 2001 mazada tribute and had the same problem, replace the lower head gaskets.

Replace the gaskets on the intake manifold. My tribute was doing the same thing. Replace all spark plugs at the same time since the manifold is already off. They found small amounts of oil in my first 2 valves and plugs, but other 4 were dry. My car idles great and runs great now and it was a cold morning today!!! Also go ahead and replace the idle control valve if you like. I had to replace this first in the car with idle problems. Charge for replacing gaskets and plugs and cleaning it up in the cylinders.... $250.00 and it was well worth it! I have a side mechanic and do not go to dealers or other shops in town.

its supposed to the cold air from the outside is cut off and the car starts only on pure fuel then when engine warms up engine lets outside air in its called a [choke].adrian,,,,,,

check the fuel filter air filter and vacuume lines if they all good make sure the spark plugs are making a bright blue spark

iam am no doubt totally wrong here ,but i would first of all check the power steering fluid level ,then turn steering from left to right with engine running and check the fluid level again

My wifes car had this same problem at about 100000 miles and after many trips to the shop it turned out to be carbor build up in the intake manifold. A fuel injector cleaner was hooked up and it helped the problem, but did not completely solve it. In oreder to get it totally clean the intake had to be removed and clean it out manually.

the problem is probably an idle air control valve. its a cheap fix. the body is ford the motor is mazda.
