My windows slide forward when i roll them up. they roll down fine, but i have to push them backwards, otherwise a gap ends up between the seal and the window. they're power windows in case you needed to know.

You might try some silicon lubricant and apply to the run channel of your window. So first, use paper towel and clean the run channel. Then apply the silicon lube. This allows the window to slide up properly. I was doubtful when I tried it on my Galant, but it worked and now so do both my front windows! Good luck!

Your window regulator is bent, and possibly broken. A new power window regulator will solve this problem. It's also possible that the attachment point between the window and the regulator is at fault, but I'd be more inclined to believe that your window regulator is at fault.

Drivers window makes alot noice to open

The rubber scrapper seal is pushing too hard on glass... open window fully, slide fingers down between inner and out rubber scrappers (where the window has dropped down into) and try to make the gap bigger.

Then clean the window(s) with household window cleaner or vinegar and old newspaper.. dirty windows can cause friction.

Do this job as soon as possible as you could break the window motor.

Kind regards

How do I replace the starter in a 2000 mitsubishi montero sport?

It is located on the passenger side of the motor, underneath side. There are two bolts on the back side of the starter, be careful the small heat shield around the starter will come loose, pull it out toward the back, there will be a gap between the axle and the sway bar. When you have unbolted the starter slide it forward to unbolt the positive cable and there is a slide connection to undo. While you are sliding the starter back you will have to rotate it to where the solenoid is facing down and work it out the same gap that the heat shield went through. Just remember how you took it out and you install the same way but backwards. Good luck and don't forget about the shield, FUN FUN.

My driver side window wont roll down, manualy, it rolls down on an angle. How do I fix it?

Thanks for the info, I think I can help. Roll the window down until it tilts forward just a little. Once the glass has tilted forward, do you see a tiny hole in the rear upper corner of the glass? I think your model has a small piece of plastic that hooks into that hole and rides up and down the vertical window track to hold the glass straight.

89 ford bronco driver and passenger power windows roll down but wont roll up with out help they just sit thier and make a jerking motion up and down in the same spot

likely is an issue with the motor itself, or could possibly be due to dirt/rust in the way on the track. best to take the forward window panel out and check if it is blocking the way otherwise replace the power window motor.

Window falls forward

the window guide behind the door panel is worn out. it may be due to age. there's no problem as long as it rolls up/down and seals the passengers from rain, etc.

If your window is off the track and sliding forward (leaving a gap at the rear) when you roll it down; the plastic guide that fits into the track is likely broken and very easy to replace. There should be a hole drilled into your at the top rear of the window where a plastic clip can snap in. Most auto part stores have these for sale or the dealer can be a last ditch alternative. Installation is a snap, literally (forgive the pun), roll your window half way down, you fold the clip over into the hole, snap it together and fit the window and the clip back in the the rail. Usually you can just grab hold of the top of the window and push the whole thing into the rail. Good Luck! Nick
