I have a 2007 Prius 91000 miles, never had an issue always been great. Suddenly at 60 mph on the interstate the VSC lite, Check engine lite, and master warning lites came on. WE pulled off the road, powered down the vehicle and let it sit for a minute. We re powered the car and it powered up immediately. The VSC lite went off but others are still on. the car appears to run fine (65 on the interstate or in town speed). The fuel cap is on tight. any ideas?

Take vehicle and have it scanned for codes. Something happened most likely a sensor went bad

SOURCE: Check engine and VSC lights on

I talked to you on the live chat, and I think that you may have missed the end of my typing...

What I went on to say is that more often than not, on the 02 4Runners, the Check and VSC lights in tandem look mainly after the emission system, and, since you stated no issues during the road test, I would guess that it is a fuel issue (too full/loose gas cap). But, if you can get the vehicle scanned, I will be very glad to provide you with more and better info if you provide me with the DTC codes. That would require your guy or an autozone hookup to a scan tool. I hope my clarification helps; and the graciouness of a FIxYa rating for this question would be greatly appreciated

SOURCE: vsc lite still on

the problem is more than likely the aftermarket catylitic convertor is setting the check engine and vsc light off- have someone- Auto-Zone etc- bypass the code with their handheld computer and it might not come back on.
Replacement catylitic convertors other than those installed by Toyota will set off your sensor for some reason or another.
hope this helps,

How do I erase the ABS and VSC codes in my 2007 Prius

Why would you do that?

You need ALL Data (codes) to diagnose the
Systems Problem & make the repairs

If it has no problems, the dash MIL Lamp will go
out, when the system runs the ABS Braking Check
at 16 to 22 plus mph

2007 prius master warning light, (!), VSC and engine light on

The problem may be the check engine light only, whenever it turns on the master warning light may also turn on, if there is an autozone or similar autoparts place close by you can go there and they can diagnose the check engine light using their scantool, then you can reply here to me with the code numbers and I can help, the code numbers are important so please write them down.

2006 Avalon Limited with 40,500 miles. Like new. Seatbelt was closed in the driver side door and batter was drained. I charged the battery and everything seemed ok. The following fault codes are now...

Yea VSC lite will come on when ever a check engine lite is On, the codes you mentioned are certainly a EVAP codes, make sure your gas cap is a factory and inspect seal surface and contac surface on filler neck for rust clean if any, also check all hoses going into air box reconect if necesary, (have your car been in any accident) if have access to a scan tool resest lite if lite comes back no other option take it to a dealer, check for warranty coverage on this systems.
good luck

Vsc light on my lexus rx 350 2007 .

I'm not sure about the Lexus, but Nissan and other vehicles with the VSC usually will be on until you can drive on a straight road for approximately 2-3 miles without stops and about the same speed during the reset process. The interstate or some type of hwy will reset this light once the vehicle has learned the Vehicle Stabilization Control in which is learned by the way you drive and enables the car to have stable control. Hope this helps out, if this doesn't work, I would take it in for more diagnostics.

2007 lexus rx350 ,vsc light on and check engine light is flashing

First check and make sure your gas cap is tight, if this does not resolve the problem read below.
A vacuum hose has become disconnected, more than likely due to having your air filter replaced. The VSC and Check engine light typically don't come on until after 150-200 miles after the vacuum hose was pulled out.
The fix: on the right-hand-side of the engine compartment behind the big plastic housing that holds the air filter you will find a black rubber hose that is not connected to anything. Squeeze the finger clamp on the hose and slide the hose back onto the half inch nipple on the back of the air filter's plastic housing.
In order for the VSC and Check engine light to be turned off, you will need to open the fuse box, right-side of the engine compartment, and pull the 20 amp EFI fuse for 10 seconds. This will reset the system. The fuse location is marked on the lid of the fuse box, also I believe the EFI fuse is the only 20 amp fuse
. This will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
