Dead battery. Installed new battery and the radio or CD player will not work. It has code ErrE. We have taken the negative battery cable off twice and it hasn't helped. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Did you find a solution? If not reconnect the power wire to either ignition or accessory, this way when the key is taken out there will be no power at the radio
The radio may just not work. I had one like that at one time. It looked as if it was working but wouldn't turn on or do anything aside from light up. If you can't get it to work I suggest just finding a new one.
Figure out what fuse controls the CD player and,
with no key in the ignition, pull the fuse out for a minute (or more -
I've seen TSBs that say leave the fuse out for 10 minutes), then replace
it (theory being that the fuse acts as a reset button). If you cannot
find the fuse, you can disconnect the negative battery cable, but you'll
lose your radio presets and other settings. Make sure you have any
codes for your radio that may be required since disconnecting the
battery cables can cause the radio to quit working too. This fuse trick
seems to have the greatest chance of success overall. Check your owner's
manual - you may have more than one fuse that controls the CD and/or
the radio and you may need to remove all the related fuses.
Disconnect your negative battery cable for a minute or two.this will reset the radio. If this was your problem the radio will eject the disc when battery cable is reconnected.Your cd player should work normally again. This is common on gm vehicles.Hope this helps.
either the radio must be replaced, because honda has problems with the radio. or you need to disconnect the battery for 10 seconds then put in the radio code again
yes , open the compartment at passenger side. inside you will see a code. Shut off the radio and put the radio on , the screen will tell you code , put in that number and it will work
Betty,
Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery for 10 minutes. Reconnect the terminal and recheck CD player.
Let me know and we can go from there.
Regards,
what you need is the radio code to get rid of the error code just disconnect both battery cables touch them together for approx. 30 seconds reconnect cables turn on the radio it should read code there might be a credit card size card in the glove box with the radio code if not look for a sticker in the glove box this is your radio code if not then the radio has to be removed to get the radio seial# then call a honda dealer up give them this number and they can look it up or if your bought the car new call that dealer up they should have this in their history
