Accessory drive belt adjustment-3.3L and 3.8L engines

All of the belt driven accessories on the 3.3L and 3.8L engines are driven by a single serpentine belt. The belt tension is maintained by am automatic tensioner.

  1. Raise the front of the vehicle and safely support it with jackstands.

  2. Remove the right front splash shield.

  3. Release tension by rotating the tensioner clockwise.

  4. Remove the belt and install a replacement.

  5. Proper belt tension is maintain by the dynamic tension.

  6. Install the right front splash shield. Lower the front of the vehicle.

Want to bypass powersteering pump on 94 grand caravan 3.3 liter 6 cylinder, pulley making loud noise need new belt size and serpintine diagram if its possible
that's not possible all of those vehicles came stock with power steering so all belt dimensions are taking the power steering pump into consideration,the only one that would change would be the A/C belt depending on whether or not your vehicle came with it or not,a used power steering pump should only cost just a little bit more then a new serpentine belt,hope this helps and good luck

1993 DODGE CARAVAN SERPENTINE BELT DIAGRAM
Look on the top radiator cross member by the hood latch- the belt routing diagram should be there. If not, the same engine and accessory configuration was used on all Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth minivans through, at least, l999. If you can find any of those with the 3.3liter engine, the diagram should be located where I said. Good luck

Serpentine belt diagram:
The belt routing diagram is located on the top radiator cross member by the hood latch. You should see it when you open the hood. If it is not there, all Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth minivans, from 1993 to at least 1999, used the same 3.3L engine setup, so find someone with one and look for the diagram where I described.
