Im having problems with a 94 chevy lumina 3.1liter. when i got the car it had sat for a long while and it wasnt shifting into gears right and boggin down on me while driving it down the road. i decided to change the plugs and wires. and that helped, but it still wants to bog down on me. while im going down the road like its not getting enough gas. so what ive done so far is put some gas treatment in it as well as higher octaine 89 gas... i need help to figure this car out and fix it because its the only way i have to go to kidney dialysis. chris brown

Happened to mine ,, Simple solution : Take it to transmission maintenance,, they clean up the mesh and fresh fluid,, will shift properly, will run like new.
If there is a delay(like 2-3 secs) when you shift from neutral to drive...then down to reverse...most likely the transmission is screwed,or on its way out. Is the Fluid level correct?,and is the fluid red or dark and smelly ?.
Dark and smelly IS NOT A GOOD SIGN.--means the fluid has been overheating ...
my 95 Chevy Lumina Seems to have tjis Similar Problem Especially after Driving in 6+ Inches Of Snow. I have Found that I use a Lot Of Trannie Fluid Check it. That Usually will get my speedo working right again, and Make my car Shift Accordingly
