The Heat/Vent fan is not turning on

I noticed a couple of months ago that the fan for the Heater/Vent/ AC is not engaging or turning on. I have gone through all the fuses and everything is fine. The question is...What the heck is not working? When I hit the AC Button I can hear the AC trying to work but their is not air coming out the vents. It is getting hot. What does something like that cost? Is their a quick fix?

I had the same problem. Try replacing the blower resistor behind the glove compartment. ($59.00 for part at dealership & 20 minute easy job. Two screws at bottom of glove box and two screws on resistor and replace. The blower ($150.00) motor may be causing the resistors to blow. I have already blown two speeds on my new resistor and believe it is because the bottom bearing on the blower motor is a little tight causing it to stick or slow start at lower speeds. No problem yet on high. Probably needs replacing.

It can be simple and cheap to repair if the problem appear to be less gas but it also can be a problem with the air compressor which make in it a little bit expansive.

Sounds like a couple of problems. First check the fan motor . Does it turn freely while off? Check for power to motor. Check to make sure the heater valve is closing when ac is on. Block one of the heater hoses to check.
Make sure the compressor is turning at higher rpms.

No A/C

Could be the main control panel. The ac clutch will engage if it gets power and the system is full of freon. The air should switch to the other vents even if the ac clutch does not engage.
You may need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams to troubleshoot the system.

Radiator fan not turning on 02 intrepid

maybe the sensor that turns on the fans might of gone bad . . and turning on the ac when engine is gettin hot is not going to help instead turn on the heater to reduce the heat , also overheating causes hoses and gaskets to get soft and get destroyed

are their any codes showing up? i'm assuming when the car was jumped the ignition was on, if so this could and can cause a lot of them! one thing you can try is to disconnect the two battery cables, leave them off for 10-15mins,reinstall,negitive first then the positive, again make sure everything is in the off position! good luck to u, hope we helped!
