check to see if you have air trapped in teh cooling system first. If yes, burp it out by leaving the radiator cap loose and run engine until warm and see if air purges.

Are you sure gauge goes to NORMAL? If not, theremostat is suspect.

Finally, check to see if blend door in heater plenum travels the full distance. It oculd be stuck in the middle. Also, check to see if both heater hoses are hot going into and out of the heater core.

Air is getting into the system. Tighten all hoses and do not overlook the hose going to the expansion tank. When car cools that hose sucks water back into system but if not tight it will suck in air. Could be why you constantly have to "burp" the system.

I cant get the heat to work anymore, A/C is fine, heater core is good,

The Number 1 issue with no heat, is AIR. Air can get trapped in the heater core resulting in no heat. when Cold, open the system and run it at a high idle... about 1500rpms, driving it a short distance will also work, with the cap loose so it can burp any air trapped, then top off the coolant. A pint low is all it takes.

    Nissan heat problem kjwang

thi is usually a case of air trapped in the engine cooling system. very hard to "burp" on this engine. Need to get radiator cap opening higher than top of engine. Park uphill on steep hill, jackup car or drive on ramps. fill radiator and overflow bottle. leave radiator cap loose so air can bleed out. start engine and run at 1500 rpms till upper hose is hot. repeat procedure until you get heat from heater core. be sure heater is on duiring this procedure. good luck.
