My turn signals have stopped working. I replaced a bulb, thinking that was the problem but they still dont work. I think it may be the actual turn signal switch (in the steering column) but was wondering if there's a flasher switch that I can try to replace first and where is it located? It's a 91 Ford Thunderbird LX with the 5.0 V-8. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The flasher relay is mounted in the main fuse panel under the dash, driver's side. Are the lights coming on at all, or is there nothing ? it is possible that you may have a bad ground wire to the signals. Do the emergency hazards work ( lighting up and flashing?)If so, then your ground is good and it could very well be the flasher. You should be able to switch the emergency flasher for the turn flasher for a test of the circuit. The flashers should be mounted side by side in the fuse panel - just exchange them and test. If so, keep the emergency flasher there and take the turn flasher in to replace. The parameters should be the same so you can just leave the E. flasher relay in place and out the turn flasher where the E. flasher was.

Right turn signal possible short

I think your flasher is working properly if its blinking fast while that light is out. I think you may have a grounding issue with the wires on that light. Unplug it again and look all down the wires to see if there are any cracks or brakes. You can take the bulb out and attach the positive lead to the bulb and ground it to the chassis. It should turn on. If it doesn't then your problem is in the positive lead, if it does turn on your problem is with the ground wire.

Parking lights dont work

Your parking light and turn signal/brake lights are actually separate but in the same bulb. 2 elements in one bulb. Replace bulb with the same type and that should solve your problem.

4 way flasher switch

I think the flasher light and the actual turn signal light are two different lights..take the flasher bulb out and put it in the place of your turn signal light and see if that works..hope that fixes your prob

I drive a 2000 mitsu. mirage. my turn signals just stopped working. i checked the bulbs the fuses they're good. the emergency flashers work im wondering if maybe its the turning module but i dont know...

The emergency flasher switch is also the turn signal flasher It pops out of the dash and can be replaced easy. do chaeck the fuses before going to this much troble. check all the fuses as some work backup circuits that you wouldn;t think would be important. Before replacing the flasher switch ( you may only be able to buy it from the dealer) work the switch several times and the flashers will come on cheak to see if allthe lights work thenturn the flashers off and see ( with the key on if the turn signals now work. Now if during the test with the four way flashers you see a bulb or more out you know that the turn signals wouldn't work, but the four ways will. they work on different fuses so chak the turnsignal fuse too. after cycling the switch try the turn signals again as the switch is likly to stick and sometimes cycling it will get the turn signals working again. Fooling around with the switch you may find a position that the turn signals work. if you can't get it to stay working then you'll have to change the flasher emergency switch.

My 94 buick regals turn signals and brake lights dont work the head lights and tail lights do work we replace the bulbs flasher relay and fuses what could it be

could be brake light switch but i would be more inclined to think the signal switch is bad, the brake light circuit goes from the pedal to to the turn signal switch then to the taillights

Left rear turn signal and brake light dont work

You have a broken wire to the turn/brake light portion of the light as they use the same wire. Or where the plug goes into the light assy could be bad. Torsion mount lights are horrible and you should think about replacing with a universal light that you can wire direct.

Rear taillight problems

I had the same problem with my 1996 Mystique about a year ago. The brake and tail lights stopped working, except for the center brake light in the window. Turned out to be oxidation of the terminals at the connector on the turn signal. Yes, that's right, turn signal. The electrical signal to the tail lights goes thru the connector on the turn signal. To fix, I cleaned the contacts and the brake lights started working again. Hope this helps. Cheers, Henry
