Where is the batery in my car as the battery seems to be dead

The car is using power overnight, so that the battery has drained by morning. Make sure every light is turned off when you leave it.

I would take the batery to autozone. Have them put a check on the battery. If it is good. Most likely the starter bendix is stuck. Good luck to ya.

sounds like alternator usualy u can take car to autozone an have them test it if batery dosent hold charge and keeps dieing on you it most likely is it any way a good place to start

You may have a ******** battery. It seems as if it has a dead cell, which causes a short, and takes all the power. You will need to have it checked out by either an Auto Electrician, or a battery retailer. If that's not the problem, get back to me.

90 % chances you also have a shorted alternator it kills the battery.
I have two Luminas and one Malibu and Corvette (mid/late 1990- 2000's) they have the same problems... suddenly dead batteries

In computer controled cars the computer needs at least 10 volts to operate . If your car is not charging or not carging enough The voltage is low to start with when you boost it. Then you turn on the lights it drops the voltage more to where the computer can't opperate. The batery should be charged before you start it anyway because it is really hard on the altinater to recharge a dead batery. An altinater is only meant to keep a batery topped up , its not a cahrger.

ok sounds like you have a dead battery
1) if turns but slowly:

posible causes:
1.1) old dead batery/
or underchaged battery >check altenator in this case

did you leave your headlights turnt on and drained the battery of its charge?if so get a jump start and then run the car for 30-45 mins to rechagre the battery

if you have at your disposal anothere batery that you know has a good charge
try starting your car with that batery(not using jumper cables) hook it up!
if the slugish turn over is still there

1.2) check your wire conections for corision this means completly disconecting 1 lead at a time (only on one end of that lead)and cleaning them with a wire brush or some sand paper.
(on the battery and the starter also the ground strap conection to the frame.)

2) WONT TURN OVER AT ALL:
posible causes:
2.0) dead battery >try charging it>get a jump start
2.1) blown turnkey igntion fuse
2.2) blow fuse for main har nes wires
2.3) bad starter
2.4) corosion on wire conection (most often the batery terminals)
2.5) starter replaced and hooked up incorectly.

2.6) alram system preventing the turnkey igntion system from getting power

The batery is probably dead. The lights don't take much power but windows and such do. Try jump starting the car. If tha works you may have altenator problems

seems your battery has already been discharged by the fog lamp! recharge or buy a new one, but you should fix first the fog lamp before hooking your battery! check for stuck -up relay!

buy a repair manual if you dont already have one look in the wiring section and check all fusable links it is possible that one or more have blown.
