We have no idea where the leak is. Do You? Also, if you have to add brake fluid to the clutch reservoir once a week, you've got a huge problem. First find out where the clutch is leaking

SOURCE: brake fluid leaking alot and now noticed fluid from rear tires

if your car has rear drum then the wheel cylinders could be leaking and in need of replacement. If it has rear disc brakes then it could be leaking fluid where the brake hose goes into the caliper or the brake hose my be worn or have a hole in it. Or it could be a a brake line. You should have it checked because you don't want air getting into the braking system.

SOURCE: Hydraulic Clutch Problem in an 82 Toyota Pickup

If you are leaking fluid from the clutch master cylinder then you have air in the system. You could try and bleed the air out of the clutch slave cylinder to get the gears but it would not last. The only way is to replace the defective master cylinder, replace all of the fluid and bleed out the air through the slave cylinder.

You might check the PCV valve and grommet,I'm assuming it's EFI,if the valve isn't sealed tight it will cause the motor die at lower RPM's

SOURCE: whining in the engine

I had the same whining noise, but after a minute or two it would go away. It turned out to be my water pump. It wouldnt turn first thing in the morning and the belt was just running through the pulley, (causing the whining noise). This may not be your problem, but it is easy to check. Just pop your hood and see if the fan is turning.

My jeep 1988 start leaking all fluid do I need to replced leak from bettwing engine and trans

Yes. This is a main seal from the crankshaft, engine oil, A freeze plug from the back of the coolant passages, or a Torque converter seal which leaks transmission fluid. None are simple or good. It will need to be fixed. Just make sure any other work is done that needs to be when they do this repair. If it is engine oil, it can wait until it gets to be a nuisance. Purchase a pan from Walmart and keep it under your vehicle. Carry a thick cardboard or metal pan when you go shopping if it is that bad. a few in puddle over night will not cause damage as long as you keep the oil up. Excessive leaking dripping from the exhaust and undercarriage may cause fire. Keep an eye on things if you cannot afford the engine oil repair now. Trans oil and coolant will need immediate attention.

88 Toyota 22r possible loud valve tap only under load. rocker arm? adjusted valves twice all good.

Are you using a good quality conventional oil? Older cars don't do well with cheap oil or synthetic. I recommend Valvoline conventional, my truck has over 200000 on it and runs great.

Water in oil, 1991 toyota 22r

Water in the oil is caused by a warped cylinder head. When an engine overheats it causes expansion of the metal and stretches the bolts on the cylinder head. Water enters the oil by gaps in the gasket. You can try to fix it with some radiator sealer but if that doesn't help you have to remove the head. The shop will determine if it is salvageable and can give an estimate for repairs.

I went to have my 88 towncar inspected and the guy said i need a power steering belt, the power steering pump&box leak and the pitman arm is loose. what kind of tools am i going to need to do this...

NO. Take it to a shop. You cant afford a mistake in your steering system.
By taking it to another shop, dont go back to the inspection station for the work, you will get an independent review of the problem and possibly a smaller repair bill. Seldom does a pump and steering box go out at the same time. I bet you just need a pump or steering box and it sprayed oil all over the place. A pitman arm can be a bear to replace without the proper tools . Have a shop fix it so you will have peace of mind.

Brake light and battery light come on at the same

Having the same problem myself, don't know if it is wiring problem or not. Cleaned the battery terminals; seemed to help temporarily but may be alternator problem. The truck has an oil leak and I'm wondering if that may be affecting the belt. I love the truck but it sucks at night when the the headlights dim. Will let you know if I figure it out.

I dont know where the oil pump is on my 89 toyota

On a 22RE the oil pump is on the timing cover behind the crank pulley/harmonic balancer,it has the crank timing pointer built onto it,generally they don't leak around the pump seal but as Monster80 pointed out they leak from the front main seal wich is installed on the front of the oil pump, pretty common for the 22R/RE to leak around the timing cover gaskets or out the bolt holes on the timing cover also, usually due to uneven tourqe on the bolts,to check the front main seal you need to look at the the crank from the underside right after you've shut the motor down,if the seals bad you'll see oil starting to form a drop on the backside of the pulley or the front of the oil pump housing.
