Turbo Wastegate (cut away) must be adjusted correctly.
A regular maintenance routine for a turbo charged vehicle will ensure proper operation and have less risk of breaking down, as well as damaging components.

Hi there!

Still sounds like you have a hole in a vacuum pipe, loose connection, or possibly a cracked plastic moulding somewhere.

During a clutch change, the engine is often tipped and moved about - sometimes damaging other components or squashing pipes.

locate the vacuum pump / turbo vacuum feed, and trace all hoses. Remove one at a time to inspect the whole length, and check the pipe connectors are not cracked at the base.

Hope your shed becomes a car again soon.

Thank you.

Ford focus 1.6 tdci on a 61 plate losing coolant when under load

Probably a pin hole leak some where in a rubber type pipe, hose clips may need tightening or your radiator may have been damaged by a stone coming through the grill. You could try getting some one to sit in car and keep revs up on engine until you can see where any steam is coming from, beware steam is very hot. If you find the leak let engine fully cool down before starting any work.

Are there any leads on a turbo on a focus tdci estate 04.it has sudenly packed up after the starter motor was replaced

Dont think their are any wires that i can remember ,Yes their are wires and a sensor on the air intake -- most likely cause is the intake pipe isnt fitted properly so the sensor isnt measuring the air flow ,or the pipe from the turbo to the inlet manifold is off
