We had the same problem. We went to auto zone and recieved a new battery and it worked fine after that. The only problem we have now is the cd player keeps reading cd changer error. But it starts so that is a start. Hope this helps.

Try jumping the battery from another car, sounds like a dead battery.

How to adjust the valves 2006 Chevy Equinox 3.4

Those are not needing adjustment intervals, also you should be equipped with VVT (variable valve timing) Are you hearing top end noise at idle?

Winding noise or light grinding under front passenger seat 2007 chevy Equinox

check that the wheels have to correct offset and that the rims are not hitting inside on something and that the wheel centre is mounting firmly on the hub face.

My 2006 chevy trailblazer 2wd 6cyl wont start. makes clicking noise, then nothing lights/radio etc work but wont start what is it

You got a jump and it ran fine? It's your battery. The lights and radio are much easier for a battery to handle than spinning a car engine. Again, if all you needed was a jump, you have a bad battery.

HI Cindy
The noise you hearing is the rear end bearings going bad

Clicking noise coming from bottom front of engine on 2006 equinox could it possibly be the storter not disengaging?

I have a 2006 chevy equinox and when i started it it had a quiet tick which was a completely new development. As I drove it became very loud so we pulled over turned it off...started it again after a coupld minutes it started but noise was still there, checked the oil it read low so we added two quarts then it wouldn't start meanwhile no smoke showed no burning smell didn't overheat and now lights came on.

My Chevy Equinox 2005 is making a noise when I turn left or right. the noise comes from the front wheels. I was trying to find where to put power steering fluid, which I could not find. What should I do?

depends on the noise , I know that sounds silly, but it works,, is the noise your hearing a clicking sound as you turn? if so, its the CV axles going out ,, From your info I don't know if you have the all wheel drive or just the front wheel drive, but if you hear clicking, its CV joints going bad, Now if what your hearing is a squealing noise, that would be the power steering pump, look at where your fan belt is and what all it drives,, one of those will be your power steering pump, some models have the fill tube for them right on the unit itself, and others have a off pump location for filling, however your year happens to be the a first generation and they used electronic power steering, and naturally you need to have it dealer checked

2005 equinox LT wont start after I just drove it to the store got back in to go home. It is making a clicking noise. I had to have it towed. The power windows were slow going up. No lights, or inside...

sounds like you lost your alternator...anytime your lights dim or radio fades or windows are slow
thats a sign that your battery isnt taking a full charge...could have a cell going bad.....how old is the battery...if more than three years its a good chance its seen its last days you could try trickle charging it over night but buy a new one instead.
Do you steam clean your engine a lot? well if you do keep a rag over the alternator so it doesnt get wet....makes them last longer.
