My AC /Heater fan stopped running. It ran real slow for awhile and then stopped all together. I tried to check the fuse under the hood but could not get it out. Do you think it is the fuse, relay or need a new blower. I am 53 female and I ty to do al my work if I can.

Thank you

It's the blower motor getting water dripping on it and causing the motor to go.

Initially I heard a tapping sound around the glove box when I put on the fan. I tried to locate the source of the sound but unsuccessful, so, I decided to run the fan on high speed. It ran and then stopped...

There is a 50amp heater fuse, then a heater relay. Once power gets to the blower motor, the resistor and fan switch provides the ground circuit.

2002 mercury sable overheating

Generally speaking, you can run the engine with or without the heater connected and it should make no difference in cooling the engine.
I wonder if the engine is actually running above 220 degrees.
Do you know where the steam or smoke is coming from ?
It could be a leak rather than actual overheating.

1996 chevy cav. heater/ac fan not working. help... the wife is driving me crazy about it.

you may have a blown fuse, check the fuses under the hood, you may also find another fuse box under the dash check them too, if no blown fuses it could be the fan switch is faulty or the fan motor is faulty.....hope this helps.....cheers

The heater quit working and the panel wont light up on a 1992 Chevrolet pickup

check the "blower motor fuse" "heater fuse" and ac fuse and relay. these will be located under the dash on the drivers side usually mounted near the foot rest next to the door AND under the hood along the fender on the passenger side.

Heater does not blow out any air

There is a fuse panel under the dash on the driver's side and the maxi-fuse box is under the hood on the driver's side. If the fuses are good, it is probably the blower fan which is located under the dash on the passenger's side. (Behind the glove box.)
