Welcome to FixYa!

On the link below is the owners manual for the edge page 258 slot # 22.

If it is just the license plate light that is out I would check the bulbs. The reason why is that the license plate light is on the same cerict as the parking lights.

2002 Cadillac escalade I want to remove the Rear bumper cover to get to the license plate lights assembly to add new ones.

Remove the wheels if possible.
Remove the two clips from each side (by pulling up the center).
Move the fender liner away to access and remove the 7 mm bolt that is near the corner.
Unscrew the four cargo anchors from the floor of the trunk.
Move the trim panel and remove the 4 10mm bolts.

To get to the license plate lights assembly, you can follow these steps:

Open the rear compartment lid and locate the license plate light assembly inside the trunk lid.
Above the license plate, locate four Philips head screws holding the license plate light assembly inside the trunk lid.
Remove the screws (caution: in winter, plastic is extremely fragile and can break easily).
Once the screws are off, your license light assembly is loose inside the trunk lid.

The fuse for the liscense plate light

is the same fuse for the tail lights
If you have tail lights then there is a wire in the bulb holder fault or a blown bulb

How to change liscense plate light? se model

hi, if your license plate bulb cover has no screw holes in it then the chances are its just pushed in it may be a very tight fit but should just pull out its usually held in by two plastic clips that lock once its pushed in so using a screw driver to lever the light cover off should get it off.

If you have a cover on the inside of the boot that covers the wires going to the number plate bulb you may be able to take this off and then be able to see how it comes off.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

No backup lights and no light over the liscense plate where is the fuse located

Depending on your make the fuse panel is in 1 of 3 places....

1. When you open the driver side/passenger side door theres a pannel you have to remove, It may or may not say Fuses

2. Under the dash on the driverside behind the foot pedals

3. Under the hood (drivers side)

also being all the lights that are malfunctioning are in the rear (breaklights, tail lights and LP lights) after you check your fuses if the problem is still there, check the ground cable from the tail lights, if it was pulled/severed/or rusted apart this will have the same symptoms

Front Liscense Plate looks stupid on my 2003 Bonneville

go to like walmart, target, etc and you can buy a backing mount that you secure to the bumper, and then secure your plate to the mount. They're like $5-10
