There are a number of things that can cause a car/truck/suv to overheat! #1. bad thermostat. #2. partially clogged radiator. #3. faulty radiator cap. #4. bad clutch on fan,or bad electric fan,or bad fan relay. #5. blown head gasket. These are the most common among all types of vehicles,I did notice you said "quickly" overheats. If the car is totally cold and overheats within 3-5 min of starting up, that is a pretty good tell-tell sign of a blown head gasket. if it takes a while longer to overheat,check the other items i listed.( always start with easyer and cheeper items first and work your way up from there) hope this helps ya out....yz-maniac.
