I have all lights but brake lights i need help finding the problem
Check for voltage at brake light harness. If no voltage replace switch.
Don't know if this helps but there is a tsb technical services bulletin on the brakes

Having same issue. Pedal switch replaces. Still no brake lights
answering hyjjacker, Carol. not 2008 guy
well it can only be 4 things, in simple electrics.
1: fuse blown (marked BRAKES, not breaks)
2: wires bad. (end to end and connectors
3; brake switch bad.
4: lamps bad or the sockets bad.
if the fuses test good,
fuses that look bad are
fuse that look ok, can be bad, hair line cracks humans cant see,... we test fuse, ask
or read book, on autoelectrics?
then we use this magic device,
called a voltmeter, (we learned in boy scouts)long ago but nobody cares now.
its measure voltage.
if you get 12vdc at the rear side of the brake switch (pressed, keyon)
then its working, from there forward.
if not work forward.
if yes, work to rear.
we go to the left rear first.
most USA cars, are harness to left side.
unlike cars say in UK.
the brake lamp got 12vdc top it
yes,
if yes, good, if no wire is bad between there
and the switch.
no,yes, its there, i check ground,(foot still pressing brakes ,dig?)
omg ground on the socket is 12vd
bad ground.
see?

As you probably have researched, the brake lights are fused with others but it might be worth checking anyhow.
Most brake lights are operated by either a pedal switch under the dashboard or a pressure switch located on the output side of the master cylinder; some vehicles have two separate switches in case of the failure of one.
It might be a good time to think about having an aftermarket manual for your car; they should be available from either or both, Haynes and Chilton. Having one lets you speculate on the reason for problems you are having in other areas and give you some protection against a lying mechanic.
(Yeah, they do exist.)
Hi there!
Start at the beginning - the foot pedal switch.
It's usually mounted above the pedal, but you may need to be a contortionist to see it. Remove the connectors and check the switch.
If this doesn't solve it, contact me again & we'll go on from there.
If this solves the problem, Please spare a moment to rate as Fixya! Thanks.
