DTC Descriptor
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC C1216 EBCM Commanded Pressure Release Too Long

If you don't know what EBCM is - electronic brake control module (computer)

Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  4. Remove the left front wheelhouse extension. Refer to Fascia Extension Replacement - Front in Bumpers.
  5. Important The area around the electronic brake control module (EBCM) must be free from loose dirt to prevent contamination of disassembled ABS components.
  6. Thoroughly wash all contaminants from around the EBCM.
  7. Rotate the EBCM connector tab up to the unlocked position.
  8. Remove the EBCM connector position assurance (2) from the EBCM electrical connector (1).
  9. Caution! To prevent equipment damage, never connect or disconnect the wiring harness connection from the EBCM with the ignition switch in the ON position.
  10. Disconnect the EBCM electrical connector (1) from the EBCM (4).

  11. Click to Enlarge
  12. Disconnect the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) electrical connector (2) from the EBCM (3).

  13. Click to Enlarge
  14. Remove the 6 EBCM to BPMV screws (2).

  15. Click to Enlarge
  16. Clean the surface of the EBCM/BPMV assembly.
  17. Important The EBCM cannot be repaired. If faulty, the unit must be replaced.
  18. Separate the EBCM (2) from the BPMV (1).

The above procedure is removal. Usually the code won't tell you what to replace. I don't know what testing you have done? Just reading the code might not be enough? The main reason I posted is to give you the location of module. Proper diagnostics is up to you. I hate to see you replace something and it not fix the problem. This is just my opinion.

2007 chevy silverado check engine light code CO201

ABS code not check engine light code .
DTC C0201 00: Antilock Brake System (ABS) Enable Relay Contact Circuit
The solenoid relay, located within the electronic brake control module (EBCM), supplies battery voltage to all of the valve solenoids.
Circuit/System Verification
With scan tool installed, clear the DTCs then drive the vehicle in a straight line at a speed greater than 20 km/h (13 mph). If the DTC did not set as a current DTC see diagnostic aids.
Circuit/System Testing
Test for an open or a short to ground in the battery positive voltage circuit to the EBCM. Verify no open or a short to ground is found.
Test the EBCM ground circuit, an open or high resistance.
? If an open or a short to ground is found, repair the circuit.
Replace the EBCM assembly.

DTC C0201 (Equal to or over 8600 GVW)
The system relay, located within the electronic brake control module (EBCM), supplies battery voltage to all of the valve solenoids and to the Antilock Brake System (ABS) pump motor. When the relay contacts close, the EBCM monitors the voltage supplied to the valve solenoids and compares this voltage to monitored ignition voltage.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
• The EBCM disables the ABS/DRP.
• The ABS indicator turns ON.
• The brake warning indicator turns ON
