What is error code P0128 on 2006 Ford Fusion SE, 4 cyl, auto

#15 in the fuse box under the dash drivers side. 20A Cigar lighter

Is it a 4 cyl or a 6 cyl? Is it showing a code? If so take it to Auto Zone so they can read the code. Try running one tank of premium gas through it and see if that helps. You might also try a full Synthetic oil change at Wal Mart with Mobil one. It is only $44.00.

The two fuses on the left goes to audio control module. I hope it's a fuse issue, but, I don't usually get that lucky.

run the fault codes and check for random misfires on one or multiple cylinders
try using injector cleaner in a couple of tanks of fuel

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion SE (2.3L 4-cyl), and had the same problem after replacing the battery... It seemed like the car just wouldn't learn what it needed to. I found the fix to make it operable again (check engine light has yet to clear; I'll be checking on that tomorrow). Turn off accessories (lights, A/C, etc.). Turn the ignition to ON (but NOT starting the car), push the gas pedal to the floor slowly, then then let it up quickly. Turn the ignition OFF. Repeat this two more times. Now the car should start; let it idle for a minute or so, then check for throttle response (this fixed it for me). I know the OP may not need this, but hopefully someone will find this useful.

Yes that is normal, i use to work for ford, the 4 cyl they put in the fusion runs kind of loud and likes to be at higher rpms.

ON 4 CYL IT MAY BE A CARTRIDGE. LOOK FOR
PLASTIC HOUSING WITH END CAP. AUTO ZONE
HAS PARTS. SAME PROCEDURE FOR MAZDA 3.
GOOGLE MAZDA 3 OIL FILTER CHANGE.
