2005 Honda accord radio code

I have a 2005 accord, and this worked for me.

1)Turn on engine w/ radio off. Push and hold down buttons 1, 6, and power.
2)I got the letter "U" followed by 4 numbers and then letter "L" followed by 4 numbers; write down those numbers.
3) Go to Honda.com
4)Click on Owners home link.
5)On that page you should see an option for retrieving radio codes for honda/acura
6)you will need to enter Vin#, home phone number and zip code fo the original owner. This will then give you the radio code..

How can I find the NAV code for 2005 honda accord.

Here is how I solved my issue after learning that I need a code for my radio & NAV after replacing the battery.

I open the glove compartment box and saw two stickers with a four digit code and serial number below. One of the four digit number activated the Nav.

To activate the radio, I had to press the tuning dial then turn it to the first number in the code and press the dial in. I did that for all four numbers and it worked.

The battery was disconnected from my vehicle and now my radio display is flashing “CODE” and the radio doesn’t work. Where can I find my radio code? If an audio unit with theft protection is disconnected from electrical power, you must enter a unique code number into the unit or it will not work. This code and the audio unit’s serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. If this card is lost, you must obtain the audio unit serial number in order to get the radio code. Some newer vehicles allow you to retrieve the audio unit serial number electronically from the radio. Refer to your owner’s manual for the specific procedure. Some older vehicles (model year 2003 and older) require a visit to the dealer in order to retrieve the audio unit serial number. Once you have the audio unit serial number, you can call Auto Customer Service at (800) 999-1009 or have the dealer look up the radio code.

There are two ways to solve this problem. First, my 2005 had the radio code displayed on a sticker inside the glove box. If you can't find it there, then you can go to Honda.com and plug in the VIN#, your zip and phone number and it will give you the code. If you are not the original owner, call Honda Service.

I just went thru this with my dealer. As you probably know, to get the correct code, you must have the radio serial number. My 2005 Accord EX has the navigation system, so that was the first problem I had to solve. The dealer had a service bulletin to tell me that. The Radio code on a 2005 Accord EX is only 4 digits. His computer showed 5 digits for the code. So he called Honda and the gave him the correct code for my serial number. It had no relationship to the 5 digits obtained from his computer. Nice, huh?

If we go to the dealer and ask them to help us get the code do we have to pay? I mean if we give them the serial number on the radio all they have to do is give up the code. How hard is that?

For my 2005 Honda Accord I was able to retrieve the Radio S/N and Code by putting the key in "accessory" position and then:
1. Press and hold 1 & 6 at the same time on the preset panel
2. Then press the radio power button once
The Radio S/N will appear in two parts, first U # # # #, then L # # # #. The 8 digits following the U and the L are the radio SN.

Next call 1-800-999-1009 (as given in an earlier post) and you can use the automated service to retrieve the Radio Code after entering the radio S/N.

I found my code inside the lid of the center console. There should be a sticker somewhere in the car with this info. Good luck!

The battery on my 2005 Accord LX died and I was having the same problem as everyone else here. The owners manual said that the dealership should have supplied a radio serial number along with a code at the time of purchase. I could not find any such card or information so I called the dealership ( I live 25 miles from where I purchased the car). The person I spoke to told me to start the engine but with the radio turned off and then press the number 1 and number 6 buttons while simultaneously turning the radio on. She said that it would give me the radio's serial number and i should then call the service department and they would give me the needed code number. She said that the number that would appear would begin with the letter U followed by 3 other letters and the letter L also followed by 3 letters. When I tried this there was a total of 5 letters and a funny looking symbol. It looked nothing like what she told me would appear. But I did immediately here static and began playing around with finding stations. I found a clear station and then located my usual stations. Perhaps the letters that appeared after holding the numbers 1 and 6 down while turning the radio on was the needed code. The radio has been working fine since then.

I have the same problem outlined above, except my daughter "hit some buttons" after she saw CODE and now ERROR 2 is displayed.  Anybody know how I can get back to it reading CODE?

I have same problem as well with my 2002 Accord where its battery died and now it is displaying CODE and then after pressing a few buttons, it is now showing ERR2. I checked the manual and it says that to locate the code from the security card that came with my car. Unfortunately, I don't have the card. I assume that the previuos owner never turned in when he traded his car to the dealer whom I purchased this car from.
