Trying to replace the alternator belt on my 1.6l 2000 suzuki esteem have to remove the other belt for the power steering and such but i dont see a belt tensiner i only see what looks like an idler pulley but that wasnt budging my owners manual doesnt give me anything on it thanks.

you have to loosen the motor support and jack that side of the motor up

Your car has a warning light for the alternator,for one.and most of your garages will test your alternator for free if you are their customer.If your alternator is working properly the alternator light on the dash will light when you start the car and then go out all the while the motor is running.
