My 2001 GMC Yukon Denali sometimes makes a TERRIBLE "clunk clunk" sound when making a left turn. It sounds like it's right at the driver's side wheel. It doesn't always do it though. My mechanic has charged me almost a $1000 and the problem is still not fixed. They added fluid and fixed an axel. Please Help! Thanks! Jackie

Take your vehilce to a new mechanic which specializes in vehicle alignment. Make sure they check your braking system for bad brake pads or faulty brake spring systems. Also check for alignment tie-rods out of alignment. This could cause a clunking sound when going over hills on a turn, or bumps in a turn.

I have a 2003 yukon denali i hear a clunking noise, it sounds like it is coming from left rear. i can fell it in the floor board under the the floorboard

This scenario could be something as simple as just the exhaust vibrating at a certain time or engine speed and vehicle speed not matching at a point and then the exhaust vibrates against the underside of the floorboard because it is so close to the floor.

2003 Yukon Denali, AWD. Was towed. now whining front end. Next a big clunk, sounded something broke up front. Car running with clanking sound, not in park, won't move. No forward or reverse gears.

I need to know how and why it was towed. Any and all AWD vehicles must be towed on a flatbed. If two wheels are left to spin on the ground. The drivetrain system will be damaged. If the vehicle was towed on a flatbed. I would need to see if the tow truck driver improperly installed their restraint chains and damaged something underneath. There is no way to provide you with an estimate. Unfortunately the vehicle needs to be towed to a capable repair shop or Dealer for diagnostics and estimate.

I have a 2001 Yukon Denali that won't start. It

You need to make sure that the engine has what an engine needs to run. The obvious ones are fuel and spark. Make sure there is at least 40LBS of fuel pressure at the injector rail when cranking. If so, you will need to make sure the injectors are opening. If you verify that the engine is getting fuel you need to make sure there is fire to the plugs when cranking. If it is getting fuel and spark, you need to make sure there is enough compression for the engine to run. And lastly, if it has everything else it needs to happen at the correct time.

02 yukon denali has a whining noise similar to bad wheel bearings. wheel bearings were just replaced. could it be cv's, no clunking sound though. also, sometimes the vehicle ''jerks'' when accelerating,...

the jerking and noise you are experiencing is the drive chain and bearings in the transfer case also you may want to check the end play in both front and rear pinion bearings and yokes

The ignition won't turn for a 2003 gmc yukon denali

make sure the wheels are straight.. if you park them with them turned to one side the steering column is under a bind.... if they are turned all the way to the right you will for example have to turn it a little to the left to release pressure as you turn the key...
