What would cause 95 chevy caprice to not reverse, but change out in all other gears perfectly. how much will it cost to put transmition in 95 chevy caprice?

Not really, unless there is a shift kit in there. Have a transmission shop check it out.

Unfortunately, this transmission will need a rebuild. this is much more than a filter or seal. what has happened here is, the gear ratio is all out of whack.

Try replacing your fuel pump relay, Its common on chevys.Those fuel pumps are too expensive to keep replacing

You can adjust it by the throttle body. Adjust the kick down cable. It should be on the drivers side of the throttle body

Yup! I just bet you ARE having problems trying to locate the wiring for the crank sensor.

1995 Chevrolet Caprice Classic is only equipped with one of two engines:
4.3L (VIN Code "W")
5.3L (VIN Code "P"

Niether
of these engines were equipped with a crankshaft position sensor.

It may be the speed sensor in the transmission,I do not think it has a speedometer cable,but check the sensor first,then if you need a speedometer,,the dealer,or the junkyard.
