I have yaris 2001 and when i start the engine the orange light always appear on dashboard says on/off. does it mean it anything wrong with it? and it wasting out soo much patrol. i paid 10pound everyday 2 days

Toyota Yaris engine warning light - this light will stay illuminated if there is a malfunction within the engine after start up - we would advise you to use the Toyota i905 iCarsoft kit to diagnose the engine problem, the kit will also clear the codes & reset the dashboard light. that little orange light is the check engine warning light.
that means there could be something significantly wrong
the light is turned on by the computer in the car, the computer was told by one or more of the electronic sensors that something is not correctly working.
Take you car in a service repair company or the dealer and have the "engine check light diagnosed" they will tell you afterward what could be not working correctly.

you might have to get gas. if it goes away after you fill up, its your gas light telling you you need fuel. or it could be your engine light. ifit is oddly shaped and illuminates after you start and when you start your engine needs service. probably low coolant, low oil or something has caused it to go off. you will have to go to a mechanic and get you cars computer checked. as it will tell you whats wrong. tip: don't buy anything the mechanics tell you you need after they fixed your problem. they are lying and trying to get more money out of you. as you are obviously inexperienced and they will take advantage of you.

The blue light stays on till the engine is cold. It goes off when the engine warms up. It is normal phenomena.

the orange light means ur engine managment light , this is a symbol that looks like a engine you need to take it to you local garage as soon as you can and have some diagnostics put on ur car to find out why it has come on as your ecu will have stored the dtc (diagnostic trouble code)

If the light was flashing when it came on, then it means your engine is misfiring.

A solid light can mean anything from a loose/faulty gas cap to a transmission issue.

This light comes on when the computer detects a fault of some sort in its diagnostic tests. If it keeps detecting this issue, the light will remain on. If the light turns off, then it has detected that the issue may no longer be present.
