Well the problem that i'm having is that the driver side lower control arm is hitting the wheel rim when i turn. what could it be?
Probably a worn, "ready to let go" lower ball joint. Don't drive it, have it checked a.s.a.p. Could be very dangerous situation if it lets go. Unless someone has changed rims to wrong size? Jack that wheel up off ground, add a safety stand & grab tire, by top & bottom, and push in at top, and pull out at bottom, then opposite, pull at top & push at bottom, and see how much play you have. Nothing should move other than maybe the tire itself a bit, my guess is you'll see lots of movement, if it isn't wrong rims. Now go side to side with quick **** & check for loose tie rods or other steering parts while your at it. Any slop, is not good. Have it checked.
