I have a renault megane 16v engine 1.4 2003.when starting the engine itis showing on the trip computer an immobiliser fault and a red battery light is showing can u please tell me how i resolve this problem.

You need the security system scanned there is a fault and it is locking you out of start up.

check you body control computer

if the red light flashes on the dash its going to be an immobiliser fault, normally it is the key that is at fault, the keys are pricey about £80 plus programmimg, but you can manually override the immobiliser on the early scenics, just pop into your renault dealer and ask for your immobilser code, normally charge a tenner or so, and ask if someone can show you how to put it in.

it in the air filter intake ,best advice take car to renault dealer and lay the golden egg .start playing with these cars and the immobiliser cuts in ,hey come on it is renault what else do expect ,,,,,from a car thats designed to be dealer only repairable

This sounds like you have a pressure fault, these gearboxes suffer from pressure solonoid failure, take the car to your dealer and have it scanned, this will show the fault, it is not an expensive job, but if left it can turn into one.
