The security system on your Ford is called "PATS"
Passive anti theft system.
There is a transponder code in your ignition key that sends a signal to an antenna surrounding the ignition cylinder that reads that key code.
For some reason that signal isn't being processed to deactivate the PATS module.
A scanner capable of reading the code(s) stored in the body control computer will lead you to the repair needed.
New keys need to be programmed to the receiver so they will work.
These systems are normally very reliable. You could look under the steering column covers for a broken or pinched wire leading off the ignition lock cylinder.
Other than that a pro will likely be needed to help get you going.
