Then why would they sell the tps by itself?

  • Allan Aug 03, 2012

FYI, I worked for a Suzuki dealer. The 2004 and 2005 Forenza/Reno has a separate, serviceable TPS. The 2006, 2007, 2008 does not. AND, to add to the confusion, if you only have the parts diagram, the throttle body reflected is the 2004, 2005 model. Only in the footnotes on the parts list does it state the TPS for the remaining years is not serviceable.

The TPS (throttle position sensor) for a 2006 Suzuki Forenza is not serviceable by itself. It is made onto the throttle body. Part # for the throttle body is 13400-85z21 and is about $450. The only other option is chancing a throttle body from a junk yard. However, you may run into the same issue.

Where is the throttle position sensor on a 2007 suzuki forenza

on a 2006 it is on the throttle body at the throttle plate. There are actually three TPS sensors in this configuration. One attached to the gas pedal. One attached to the throtle body And, one located inside the top of the engine block. The defective TPS sensor is removable with four screws. American Suzuki has to be a pain in the *** by selling it only as part of the entire throttle body.
