Heres a TiP for ECM malfunction!
Replace all the CAPACiTOR inside ur OLD ecm, 'cause thats the part of the circuit that breaks down!
I have repaired a LOT of ECM, and it works!
Try that if u couldn't get a NEW one!

Is a 92 corolla fuel injected and is a 1990 corolla a carby

Those are both fuel injected. The 1992 is a multi-port injection system (one per cylinder), while the 1990 is throttle body injection- one or two injectors inside the throttle body assembly -which looks like a carburetor, but it isn't.

My 1990 riviera will run great, as you are going down the road it will shut off,but crank right backup. whats wrong?

Check the ECM part number. If it is a 1228253 that is your problem. get a 16198264 the other number does just what your car is doing. I worked at a Buick dealer and know about the problematic 1228253 ecm.

Is my 1990 chevy 1500, 350 motor fuel injected?

I believe that all cars were required to be fuel injected by the late 1980s in the US. but the only way to be sure is to look at the engine. Is there are big cylindrical dish that looks almost like a tire sitting on the top center part of the engine? if you dont know, try and find the air intake. follow the line past the air filter. When you get to the engine, does it seem to meet with small marker shaped objects, one for each cylinder the engine has? if so, the car is fuel injected. If there is a carbeurator, the dish thing that sits on the top of the engine, the car is not fuel injected

Hyundai Exell will run for 20 min's and will die

hi there, is it carby or fuel injected?

CARBY - fuel pump, dies when warms up (most likely if you still have spark)-to test for spark remove a lead and stick a small screwdriver in and sit a few mm from an earth point(dont touch the metal part of the screwdriver) turn the car over you should see spark.
- needle and seat
- fuel filter (not likely)
- coil (if no spark when test)

FUEL INJECTION - i would go straight to the ecu, the 1990 is renound for having a **** ecu, they blow capacitors real easy and carry on in wierd and wonderfull ways. hope i helped.

the ecm doesn't control the pump relay. it is energized by turning the key and supplying positive voltage.

No data from ecm

If no comunication with the escanner ,
1 of the problem can be a bad ECM.
I have replaced lots of them for this problem.
2 can be a bad MAP sensor. or TPS sensor.
You can try to get manual codes fro this truck. Is possible OK.
