I have a 2001 9-5 SE V6 with about 88.5K miles. The interior fan air only blows out of the face/dash vents no matter what position (feet, windshield, or face) the indicator shows. Fan speed and temp work fine, as well as other functions like the A/C, rear-defroster, etc. on the module. With winter now upon us, I need to be able to blow hot air onto the windshield. Any clue for me on how to access the deflectors that control the air direction? Thanks!

2 possible problems, #1 is the control switch on the dash has malfuntioned(less likely) , #2 is the motor under the dash that changes the blower position is not working properly.

Please rate my answer ............Thanks

I would like to check further into the blower position motor malfunction. Can you tell me how to access it? Thanks again!

I am not positive on that particular model, just know most are under the dash. You might have someone try to change the position back and forth while looking under the dash. You might see somthing trying to move, but not actually moving like it should. It will be located somewhere in the ductwork. It should be either vacuum operated or have an electric actuator.I fix this type of thing all the time but without seeing it my hands are kinda tide.Wish I could help more.

Hi I have a jeep CHEROKEE renegade 2003. The air condition is working and it's blowing air to the feet and front window screen but it doesn't blow air to the face vents at all not matter how I switch

The most probable cause is that the louwers that should open to allow air in that area is jammed shut. If electronic could be a bad motor, if mechanical cable, bay be gunked up. Do the lever complete its full length of travel or is it resisting and have to be forced?..

Might be the heater control. Where you change the position of the air.

You have a vacuum leak. Look under the dash and check the placement of the vacuum hoses that activate the vent doors. One or more may have slipped or may be cracked.

No air flow to dash vents and feet vents

99% of the time when they do that it is the control head. that is the thing you adjust all your temp settings on. have to purchase from dealer. have last eight digits of vin # when ordering.
