Ok......one question is you say when you start to drive, so I assume that at idle, standstill, there is no abnormal noises...even when you rev the engine.......its only when you drive and accelerate ?????
sorry for the confusion actually it also makes the helicopter noise when it is just standing and when you start driving and one accelerates then it starts to ****
ok, well, in that case
i dont doubt that your workmanship is under question, but this definelty sounds like the timing belt is rubbing on the timing belt covers......now as a professional in the industry for over 10 years, I must admit that this has also happened to me........so please dont take offence....what you will probably find is that the cover's were not installed proplerly, or they were bent/warped when they were reoved or put back on (common, lol) and now they are rubbing on the crankshaft pulley, or the camshaft pulley...
To locate which direction, i use a long screwdriver, and place the plastic section in my ear, and the shaft point (tip) against the plastic timing covers, much like a stethoscope......you will hear by the loudness that this helicopter noise where its coming from........
okay thank you I will go and make sure that the cover is put correctly and may I ask what is the reason behind the jerking when I accelerate please advice thank you:)
jerking....as i understand it, means it goes forward and then suddenly stops, and then goes and then stops and so on........did this problem just start afetr you performed the timing belt change ???
it does not stop it just jerks while one is accelerating pushing on the gas it jerks and it seems as though the speedometer is just stuck on 2 rpm and those not seem to go as one drives and is accelearting it pull back and forward but does not stop
welll it did not do that before actually we could not get it to start so we replace the battery it started to work then after a few days it just would not start then we have been working on it for the last 2 and a half weeks actually and we finally were able to start today we installed a new batter new timing belt and new starter and I guess one can say thatit did happen after the new timing belt thanks:)
OK...well in having to replce all those parts, dod you have to remove spark plugs, spark plug leads, and are there any engine lights on the dash ???
no there are no lights that are on the dash and we have not replace any of the spark plugs, spark plugs lead
would you describe the jerkiness as bunny hopping......???>......also, apart form the noise, does it idle smooth or if you raise the rpms in park, does it gurgle, or rumble or is it smooth.......im just figuring whether it is engine only related or transmission concern as well ???
