Shakes acceleration

Either a bent rim, tire is out of balanced and tire is bad. Rotate the tires and see if it goes from the wheel to the seat. If you can feel it in the seat then it's a bad tire.

Steering shakes

The simplest thing could be mud or snow inside your wheel, or it's otherwise out of balance. Kick it out of there. Second could be a bad alignment, in which case you will need an alignment rack at your local garage. Third could be worn ball joints. If you look at the front tires, and they are wearing funny-unevenly across the tread, that will only make the problem worse, and it's time for new tires as well.

2008 toyota sequoia steering wheel shaking

Try rotating both front wheels to the back one at a time. If a tire has a bad belt; it may balanced but balancing does not eliminate a soft spot on the tire tread. By moving the tires to the back and road testing it after each side is done, you may be able to find the bad tire.

You have a lot of moving parts. A brake rotor could be out of balance, you can have a worn CV joint shaft, a hub bearing could be worn, driveshafts and U-joints can shake.

If you do find one wheel as a problem, have the tire dismounted and the wheel spun on the machine. You may have a bent rim and the tire may be good. Since the balance would help compensate for the vibration, it can mask the flattened spot on the rim. The tire will act like a shock absorber but ultimately the rim is not turning like it is round once weight is on it.

I would be interested in what you found.

Steering wheel shakes when driving

If it only shakes when accelerating and not when coasting or up to speed it is probably your inner c.v joints.

If it shakes the whole time it is most probably one of the following

-Wheel balancing
-damaged tyre
-bent or buckeled rim

04 Nissan Quest Shaking while driving

Put on the spare tire and see if that helps. If it does, go to the tire store and use your hazard coverage for them to check your rim for being bent or your tire from having a bruised belt. The rim is your responsibility, the tire is the tire stores. An 04 should have spare rims in Salvage yards. You can go online for those if need be.

Get your tires checked out, you may have a seperated tire, or may need to get the balanced checked. and check your air pressure. then while your at the shop get your suspension checked out. while its up in the air.
