Starter on my 91 ford ranger 4 wheel drive starts my pickup a couple time then it just spins have changed it 3 times now

Assuming the starter motor spins but doesn't engage to turn engine over to start you could have a bad starter drive which is part of the starter assembly or possibly damaged/missing teeth on flywheel ring gear. Depending on year and model vehicle, some starters you can replace just the starter drive otherwise you need to replace the whole starter. If you changed the starter look at the flywheel.

Starter makes a screeching noise sometimes just after the motor starts

Replace the starter before it ruins the flywheel. You have a worn out drive that applies to the flywheel. Flywheels are very very hard to change, in fact you can change 10 or 15 starters in the same time changing one flywheel

Starter makes a grinding noise. and wont start changed starter and have the same problem. changed crank position senser and it worked for a while. changed it again but didnt fix the problem.

if the starter is making a grinding noise when you turn the key, it's one of several possiblites. 1. Bad Starter. 2. Bad flywheel. 3. You need starter shims that fit between the starter and the motor. Most starters will bolt straight up but sometimes the gears get too close so you need to shim them apart.

Car will not start first thought it was the battery which turned out not to be true then found out it was the starter, starter has been replaced but car still will not start. It clicks twice and thats it...

did you change the solenoid with the starter or just the starter? if you changed both i'm not sure. if you just changed the starter and not the solenoid you should change the solenoid.

My starter kicks out before the car starts how can i tell if its the starter or celinoid

It's most likely the "bendix drive" in the starter kicking out. It's the part that engages the starter to the flywheel. Changing a starter without changing the solenoid is like having a slice of bread without any butter. Change them as a pair. Hope this helps.

I need to change my starter on a 1991 mercury sable

Starter are one of the easier mechanical engine parts to change.

1) DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.
2) Disconnect the electrical cable running to the solenoid on the starter.
3) Remove the two bolts holding the starter in place.
4) Pull the starter out.

To install another starter, do the above steps in reverse order in reverse.
