Hi
Having starting problems with my lancer, at first I thought it was a starter motor problem as I was having prior problems when car was warm or had stalled then it would not starter until car was abit cooler. Now my car cranks over but doesn't fully start, when it does bite, it doesn't idle long & it sounds like a helicopter & then it back fires. My car is running rich and has a Sard race fuel pressure regulator which is reading 40psi, is this normal? would this be a fuel filter/fuel pump problem? Engine check light is not coming on now.Any advice would be much appreciated.

first thing to do is remove spark plugs and if they smell really fuely you will need to change them if that doesnt help you will need to get the microtech tuned for a good coldstart , this depends on if its running stand alone or as a piggy back
cheers.
please leave feedback.
