Often that smoke is actually misty antifreeze from a leaking heater core. wipe a little of it up and sniff. sickly sweet smell it is heater core time.

2004 chevy trail blazer vent problems

If what you mean is that the air comes out the defrost rather than the vents, this may be a vacuum leak, bad vacuum check valve, or bad blend door actuator.

Blazer heat will not turn off, fan works fine. but the tempture will not go to cool

Since you have climate control There would be three possibilities. 1st Would be the blend door actuator, Which you said they replaced. Did they make sure it worked? 2nd would be the controller itself, not opening or closing the blend door. 3rd would be that the A/C is not working or isn't fully charged. Just because the compressor clutch kicks on and is turning, doesn't mean the system it working properly. I do all my work with a set of high and low gauges. Not the best, but they work. Even a little humidity in the system will raise the temperature coming out the vents. That's why A/C places have machines to pull a vacuum. Taking it to a dealer they should have caught everything. 1999 blazer only starts when primed and then wont start after sitting

Black smoke is usually extra fuel, but you say you are priming it to start so that could be why.
Have you checked fuel pump pressure before and after cranking ?

Ac wont come thru vent on 97 chevy blazer. ac will come out thru defroster and sometimes the floor vent but it isn't coming out of forward vents

Check the vac lines for leaks on the drivers side rear of the engine compartment. The ones going to the vac ball attached to the hood.

97 chevy blazer ac only blows thru defroster & floor, nothing comes thru vents, not ac are or outside air, is this hard to fix?

Go to autone get 2 ft of 7/32 and 5/32 vacuum line its like four bucks then open hood on drivers side attached to hood is a black air canister there should be a vacuum line running from it down to a t where two others meet replace hose from engine and to canister ud should be good to go akso vents

Smoke coming out of vent when defoster is on 99 chevy blazer

what does it smell like? antifreeze, burning wires, oil, no smell, here is my best guess, 1- heater core, 2- heater blower motor burning up, 3- engine oil, and 4- steam condensation, 5- a ghost.

Smoke coming out of vent when defoster is on

I believe the problem you have is a leaking heatercore, I have not done one on a Blazer- Jimmy but will get to do it soon to mine ( 1998 Jimmy )it looks to me as though you have to access this from under the dash and inside the truck. If your more of a large type, like me, you might want to concider having your local mechanic do it as working under the dash and upsidedown could be a little uncomfortable. Hope this helps.
